Dr. Mostafa Khaled Sedky Launches Bilingual Breast-Health Education Website for Patients globally

Cairo, Egypt, September 3, 2026 — Dr. Mostafa Khaled Sedky has launched a bilingual patient-education website designed to help Arabic- and English-speaking patients understand breast health concerns, diagnostic pathways and surgical care before and after a clinical consultation.

The website brings together evidence-based articles, service explanations, short educational videos, frequently asked questions and practical preparation guidance. Topics include breast lumps, nipple discharge, skin and nipple changes, mammography, breast MRI, breast cancer surgery, oncoplastic and reconstructive options, aesthetic breast procedures and postoperative recovery. Readers can switch directly between English and Arabic.

The resource addresses a common problem: patients often search online after discovering a symptom or receiving an imaging result, but may encounter information that is alarming, incomplete or disconnected from their clinical situation. Content on the platform distinguishes general education from individual medical advice, identifies changes that deserve timely examination, and repeatedly states that online material cannot replace an in-person assessment.

“Patients often arrive with understandable anxiety and conflicting information,” said Dr. Sedky. “The purpose of this website is to make the first steps clearer in both Arabic and English: what changes should be assessed, what investigations may be considered, and how treatment decisions are made. It is an educational starting point, not an online diagnosis.”

The website also explains how breast care can move from assessment to imaging, biopsy when indicated, multidisciplinary decision-making, surgical planning and follow-up. Each page aims to communicate limitations as well as options, avoiding guarantees about results and encouraging patients to discuss their own risks, priorities and recovery needs with their treating team.

Dr. Sedky is a consultant surgeon focusing on breast surgery and an Assistant Lecturer of Surgery at New Giza University. He holds the Membership of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh and has contributed to research including work on targeted axillary dissection in cancer cases.
