Southwestern Christian University Offers New Educational Opportunities

Southwestern Christian University is pleased to announce it will be opening a new avenue of educational opportunities to its current and prospective students. Motivated by the desire to teach their students to change their world for the better, SCU professors have been taking classes on field trips to various businesses, academic centers and other locations. Places of note include the Dallas Market and the Sam Noble Oklahoma Museum of Natural History. Students who went on the latter trip gained the opportunity to see the First Folio up close, a piece of history that is recognized as William Shakespeare's first printed work.

It is Southwestern Christian University?s belief that gaining experience within the wider world is just as valuable as listening to lectures in the classroom. The university plans to provide its student body with other field trips and learning opportunities as time passes, though there are no specific plans as of yet. This new development is one component of a larger effort of the school to expose its student body to valuable educational and cultural activities and encourage them to become more involved in their community at large.
