Author John W. Haines has released his newest thriller, AH11 Conspiracy!, a fast-paced novel that blends backwoods action with a science-driven conspiracy plot. The book is now available in paperback and Kindle editions on Amazon.
AH11 Conspiracy! centers on Jesse Baker, known to friends and enemies alike as Hound Dog — a repo man, bounty hunter, and former Army Ranger who has never met a fight he'd back away from. Jesse's world is upended when a car crash on Interstate 81 leaves three CDC scientists dead, and he's framed for their murder. The trail leads back to AH11, a bacteria strain originally engineered by a graduate student to pull mercury and other heavy metals out of a polluted river. Stolen and secretly modified, the bacteria has mutated into something far more dangerous: an organism that strips essential metals from anything living it touches. As fish die, birds fall from the sky, and people begin to vanish, it becomes clear that two ruthless conspirators intend to weaponize the outbreak for profit, whatever the cost to the rest of the world. With a grieving CDC agent and a sharp-witted field biologist at his side, Hound Dog has to outrun corrupt cops, federal agents, and hired killers long enough to find the antidote and the truth.

About the Author: John W. Haines was born in a small town in eastern Pennsylvania, where he learned early on that hard work and keeping your word mattered. He earned his bachelor's degree in business logistics, and later an MBA, from Penn State University. After college, he enlisted in the military and served as a counter-intelligence analyst, including a tour in Vietnam, before spending the majority of his career in transportation and logistics management. Haines is married and the father of three daughters, with two stepdaughters, a stepson, and five grandchildren rounding out the family. Since 1999, he has made his home in the Shenandoah Valley, the same region that inspired the setting of AH11 Conspiracy!, where he spends his free time fly fishing on the Shenandoah River and working in his woodshop. AH11 Conspiracy! continues the AH11 series that began with AH11 Apocalypse, further exploring the consequences of a bacteria strain designed to heal the environment and its capacity, in the wrong hands, to threaten it instead.
