Kwashieman, Accra, Ghana, Nov. 14, 2025: The 18+ Show will return in December 2025 with a new edition themed 'Spoken Word Meets Creativity and Something Else.' Organized by Viewplus under MC Multimedia and approved by the Ghana Tourism Authority as part of the 'December in GH' program, the event will present a curated blend of spoken word, theatre, music, and dance.
The 18+ Show was created to provide a multidisciplinary platform for performers to explore and present original work. According to the show's directors, CEO Doji and The Patrick, the 2025 edition expands on previous concepts by integrating additional theatrical elements, collaborative formats, and a broader range of creative performances.
The upcoming edition will take place at the African University College of Communications in Adabraka, Accra, with performances scheduled for the morning and evening. The program will feature a variety of emerging and established performers, including Cristar, Bourgeoisie, Blessing, CK Agbanu, Jast Bella, Adehyie Cultural Troupe, Ina, Acro Brothers, and others. Additional acts are expected to be announced.
This year's edition will continue to highlight the show's guiding principle of 'prolificism,' which encourages artists, writers, and performers to refine their craft through consistent practice and ongoing creative output. The organizers aim to reinforce this approach by presenting a diverse mix of performances that emphasize storytelling, movement, and artistic expression.
Two future initiatives are also being developed as extensions of the 18+ Show brand. The first, known as The Loud Edition, is an invitation-only event that will explore the literary foundations behind the show through readings from 'The Mine,' a collection of poems written by CEO Doji. The second initiative, the School Tour Edition, will bring elements of the show to students across Ghana. Each year, ten schools will be selected through Shuffle Boss, a random-selection tool built by MC Multimedia, to participate in performances, discussions, and creative workshops.
The 18+ Show continues to position itself as a platform dedicated to contemporary performance and creative collaboration, with the 2025 edition expected to introduce new artistic directions and expanded engagement with audiences.
