Australian app developer Jacaranda Apps has announced the achievement of a significant company milestone for its gift assistance app, [HappyUnwrappy]
Less than a year since it was launched, HappyUnwrappy has already reached $1 million dollars in total value of products added to its service.

HappyUnwrappy has attracted mobile owners who are looking for a solution to the problem of not knowing what gifts to buy for friends and family. The free app, available on iPhone and Android, offers the ability to create "wishlists" which can be shared with friends and family via Facebook or email. The owner of the wishlist is given the ability to control which friends and family members have access to each wishlist, for greater control.

With an exponential growth in the number of new apps being added to the iTunes App store every month (50,750 in January 2016), Jacaranda Apps are delighted with the attention their app is receiving. This is especially true considering most apps are removed the same day they're installed, according to a report prepared by [eMarketer.com](http://emarketer.com/) in December 2015.

A young husband and wife team from Sydney, the founders of HappyUnwrappy have been extremely excited by the growing momentum of the free app and how quickly it has reached this impressive milestone. They had this to say about the idea behind the app:

"We both recognised a clear gap in the market for an app which would help potentially millions of people from wasting time and money, buying gifts which ultimately wouldn't be appreciated by the recipient. And at the same time, we could help potentially millions of people receive the gifts they really wanted!"

Research showed that Australians received an estimated $520 million worth of unwanted presents in 2014 alone, and the founders believed this problem presented an opportunity. Jacaranda Apps hoped that the app would help reduce the disappointment, and environmental waste, created by unwanted gifts. They added, "We€™re hoping that having access to HappyUnwrappy will make people€™s lives a lot easier, particularly at stressful gifting periods like Christmas."

Rather than settling with their current success, the Jacaranda Apps team are now focused on expanding their reach further to help more customers, and turn their $2 million product value milestone into $10 million and beyond.

Readers wishing to explore the app further can find out more at the HappyUnwrappy website, [http://happyunwrappy.com](http://happyunwrappy.com/). The app can also be downloaded for free from the AppStore or Google Play.
