New Delhi, India, 04 September 2026: A global icon begins its India chapter today. Kia India has introduced the Kia Sorento, at introductory prices* starting from INR 27.99 lakh for the Diesel and INR 29.99 lakh for the Hybrid (ex-showroom), as the brand enters India's premium three-row SUV segment. Along with bringing one of Kia's most successful SUV nameplates to Indian customers, the launch introduces Kia's first Hybrid offering in India. and brings the global debut of Kia AI Assistant with Real-Time Generative AI capabilities with the India-spec Sorento, making it the first in its segment to offer this capability. Combining Kia's global design philosophy with next-generation in-car technology, advanced safety, premium comfort and expanded powertrain choice, the Sorento is designed to address the evolving expectations of premium SUV customers in India.

Official deliveries for Kia Sorento will begin nationwide from today onwards, i.e. 04th September 2026.

Across its evolution, Kia Sorento has continuously expanded what customers can expect from a three-row SUV, combining capability and versatility with advancing technology, safety and comfort.

The latest-generation Sorento brings together a bold SUV presence, advanced technology and the versatility expected of a premium three-row SUV.

Measuring 4,815 mm in length* and 1,900 mm in width*, with a 2,815 mm wheelbase and a height* of 1,785 mm with roof rails, Kia Sorento is the longest and widest in its segment, creating a commanding road presence and a spacious foundation for its three-row configuration.

Its design combines a tall, upright silhouette with a wide stance and pronounced shoulder line. At the front, the Kia Digital Tiger Face takes center stage, complemented by Crystal Cube LED Projection Headlamps and Star Map LED DRLs with progressive turn signals. The lighting signature continues at the rear with Star Map LED Tail Lamps, while robust front and rear skid plates with satin chrome finish, a satin chrome beltline and an integrated rear spoiler with hidden wiper further reinforce its SUV character.

The Sorento is offered with 18-inch Sporty Crystal Cut Alloy Wheels and 19-inch Premium Crystal Cut Alloy Wheels, complemented by Side Door Garnish with Satin Chrome Accents

A TECH-FORWARD PREMIUM CABIN
Step inside, and the Sorento combines sophisticated design, advanced technology and premium comfort in a cabin thoughtfully designed around the different ways its occupants experience every journey.

At the centre is the Panoramic Curved Display Panel, featuring a 31.24 cm (12.3-inch) HD Touchscreen Navigation Cockpit and a 31.24 cm (12.3-inch) HD Display Instrument Cluster — first and best in segment. The cabin experience is further enhanced by the Windshield Head-Up Display and Advanced Digital IRVM, placing essential information and visibility within easy view.

Kia Sorento is offered in 2 interior themes, including Smoky Black & Grey and the premium Black & Olive Brown theme available on the top HTX trim. A Dual Pane Panoramic Sunroof and 64-colour Ambient Mood Lighting further enhances the sense of space and atmosphere within the cabin.

FIRST-CLASS COMFORT IN EVERY ROW
Available in 6- and 7-seater configurations, Kia Sorento is designed around the different ways customers experience a premium three-row SUV — whether they prefer to take the wheel, be driven or travel with family.

The first row features best-in-segment 10-Way Power Driver and Co-Passenger Seats with Lumbar Adjust, Relaxation Power Driver & Passenger Seat, first-in-segment Driver Seat Ergo function, Integrated Memory System (Driver Seat & ORVM), Driver Seat Welcome Retract function and 4-Way Adjustable Headrest (Driver & Passenger).

Ventilated seating with 3-step cooling extends beyond the first row, with Sorento becoming the first in its segment to offer this feature for second-row passengers as well.

The second row provides Captain Seats with slide, recline and walk-in functionality in the 6-seater configuration, while the 7-seater features 60:40 split rear seats with slide, recline and walk-in functionality. Both configurations feature One-Touch Seat Adjust with 4-Way Power Boss Mode.

The 6-seater features Wing Type Headrests, while the third row offers 50:50 split-folding seats with adjustable headrests. Rear AC vents for the second and third rows, Rear Door Sunshade Curtains and seat-integrated Type-C USB ports further enhance passenger convenience.

CONNECTIVITY, REIMAGINED
The Sorento's India premiere marks an important global technology milestone. With the India-spec Sorento, Kia AI Assistant with Real-Time Generative AI capabilities debuts globally making it the first Sorento to introduce the technology and the first in its segment to offer this capability. It is also being introduced for the first time across Kia's global product line-up.

Kia AI Assistant is Kia's next-generation in-car conversational AI which provides data based on real-time search, designed to make every journey smarter, easier, and more engaging. It enables natural, human-like conversations, understands follow-up questions, and provides real-time information, helping users stay informed and connected on the move.

Beyond conversational capabilities, Kia AI Assistant offers vehicle-specific intelligence through integration with the owner's manual, while "Hey Kia" wake-word support enables hands-free access. It can also control select vehicle functions, including air-conditioning and windows, bringing AI-powered assistance more directly into the driving experience.

Kia Sorento also features Remote Vehicle Immobilization, Kia Connect 2.0 with 85+ connected car features, OTA software updates to 30 controllers, Digital Key 2.0, and wireless Android Auto & Apple CarPlay.

And for the first time in India, Kia introduces personalized Display Themes, with Sorento — across the cluster and infotainment — content from Disney, Marvel and Pixar, nine themes in all. Our Display Themes allow customers to personalize their infotainment and cluster experience through themed dashboards, colours and animations when they enter the vehicle or switch it on and off. The digital and convenience experience is further complemented by a Smart Dashcam with Front & Rear Camera, USB Type-C charging across all three rows and a 220V power outlet. A dial-type Shift-by-Wire selector, sporty paddle shifters and first-in-segment Remote Smart Parking Assist add further convenience.

CAPABILITY, WITH A CHOICE OF POWERTRAINS
With the Sorento, Kia India expands its powertrain diversity through the next-generation Smartstream powertrains, offering customers a choice between Hybrid and diesel.

At the centre of this proposition is the Smartstream 1.6 Turbo GDI Hybrid, Kia's first Hybrid offering in India. Paired with a 6-speed automatic transmission, it delivers 180 PS of engine power and 265 Nm of torque, supported by a 65 PS electric motor delivering 264 Nm torque. The Hybrid powertrain combines performance and efficiency to offer a more sophisticated driving experience while supporting Kia India's commitment to sustainable mobility solutions.

The Sorento is also available with a Smartstream - D2.2 Diesel engine producing 193 PS and 442 Nm, paired with an 8-speed Dual Clutch Transmission (8DCT). Both powertrains are supported by Drive Mode Select with Eco, Normal, Smart and Sport modes.

Kia Sorento is the first in its segment to offer a Hybrid powertrain with All-Wheel Drive (AWD). Both Hybrid and Diesel powertrains are available with AWD, featuring dedicated Snow, Sand and Mud Terrain Modes designed to optimize torque distribution across varied driving conditions.

Kia Sorento features ADAS Level 2+ with 30 autonomous features, offering a comprehensive suite of intelligent driver-assistance technologies.

The system includes Highway Driving Assist, Navigation-based Smart Cruise Control, Smart Cruise Control with Stop & Go, Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist Pack, Lane Keeping Assist, Lane Following Assist, Blind Spot Collision Avoidance Assist, Rear Cross Traffic Collision Avoidance Assist, Safe Exit Warning and Remote Smart Parking Assist, among others.

VARIANTS, COLOURS AND PRICING
The Kia Sorento will be available on 3 Base Trims, each with an option pack, across its Hybrid and Diesel powertrains.

The SUV will be offered in eight mono-tone exterior colours — Glacier White Pearl, Gravity Gray, Imperial Blue, Magma Red, Pewter Olive, Ivory Silver Gloss, Aurora Black Pearl, and a matte Dark Gun Metal finish.

For the first time in Kia India's line-up, the Sorento will also be offered in an exclusive Black Line trim, giving the SUV a more distinctive and premium road presence. The Black Line features blacked-out exterior elements like Kia & Sorento emblems, 19-inch Premium Crystal Cut Alloy Wheels, fender garnish, beltline & more.
