Kingston Unveiled Server Premier DDR5 4800MT/s Registered DIMMS Receive Validation on 4th Gen Intel Xeon Scalable Procr
Kingston Technology Company Inc. has recently announced the Server Premier DDR5 with capacities ranging from 16GB, 32GB, and 64GB with a data transfer speed of 4800MT/s Registered DIMMs that can be used with 4th Gen Intel Xeon Scalable Processor (formerly called Sapphire Rapids).
Kingston, a globally leading manufacturing brand, has manufactured a wide variety of storage solutions for data centers, servers, and other data-critical environments. Kingston has designed Server Premier DDR5 for data centers and servers used specifically for white-box servers that are further platform validated and qualified by the top motherboard and processor manufacturers.
Premier DDR5 Key features:
Kingston Server Memory comes with a wide range of advanced features that boosts the performance and storage capacity and minimizes the load times while dealing with several data-critical tasks at the same time. It features:
• Locked Bill of Materials (BOM)
• Part Change Notifications (PCN) – 90 days
• 8Q roadmap visibility
• Server platform validation
• Leading server motherboard manufacturer qualification
• Limited Lifetime warranty
• Industry-leading service and support
These features, for instance, BOM, help with consistent brand and revision of primary components such as DRAM, register, PMIC, SPD hub, thermal sensors, and PCB.
Premier DDR5 and 4th Gen Intel Xeon Scalable Processor
Intel's 4th Gen Scalable processors are the first to support the next-generation DDR5 Server Memory; this memory module features eight memory channels with two DIMMs per channel or 16 DIMMs per CPU socket. Further, this DDR5 comes with fast data transfer speed ranging up to 4800MT/s with a high bandwidth of 38.4GB/s that can further be increased when configured with multi-channels. Moreover, the DDR5 Registered DIMM also comprises more advanced features such as on-die ECC (ODECC), enhanced refreshes, power management circuit (PMIC), double the number of banks and double the burst length, dual independent 32-bit subchannels (40-bit for ECC), and additional temperature sensors, decision feedback equalization (DFE) that ensures reliability and efficiency.
Mike Mohney, Sr Technology Manager DRAM, Kingston, said, "We're excited to announce the validation of our next-generation server memory parts on Intel's 4th Gen Xeon Scalable processor," he further added that "Validation is always the first step for memory manufacturers to demonstrate the quality and compatibility of their memory solutions. DDR5 delivers the technology to scale in bandwidth and capacity to meet the performance requirements of tomorrow's data centers."
Further, the DDR5 Server RAM is available in different modules, including:
KSM48R40BD4TMM-64HMR that features 64GB DDR5-4800 ECC Registered DIMM x80 CL40 2Rx4 1.1V
KSM48R40BS4TMM-32HMR with 32GB DDR5-4800 ECC Registered DIMM x80 CL40 1Rx4 1.1V
KSM48R40BD8KMM-32HMR comes with 32GB DDR5-4800 ECC Registered DIMM x80 CL40 2Rx8 1.1V
KSM48R40BS8KMM-16HMR comprises of 16GB DDR5-4800 ECC Registered DIMM x80 CL40 1Rx8 1.1V
