Digital news and features Portal "EGnews" launched on 21 May

A Group of Young entrepreneurs from Pune with some seasoned Journalists have launched what they called as a Premium News Portal, EG News is a complete package of Political, business and entertainment news. Several Prominent Writers and columnists have agreed to write for this portal. "besides feature stories, News will also be an important part of our content" Managing Editor of egnews.in Dr Amar Jadhao said.

"While Scroll and Quint have already set a benchmark with their quality journalism in digital space, We found that none of their content reaches non-english newsreaders. The problem with vernacular Media is lack of quality content and we seek to address this problem" Chief Editor Manas Pagar said.

both Amar Jadhao and Manas Pagar have been known in Maharashtras social circles for their defiant criticism of government policies and expertise in social media campaigning. Their portal egnews.in currently serves readers in marathi but will soon start to publish in english and other regional languages
