Around 130 exhibitors from Taiwan to present their high-quality products at Taiwan Expo on 17th May in New Delhi

New Delhi 16th May 2018: Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA), Taiwan?s foremost trade promotion organization is all set to organize the first ever ?Taiwan Expo 2018? in New Delhi from May 17-19, 2018, at Hall No 11, Pragati Maidan.

The exhibition will have 8 themed pavilions - Meet Taiwan, Taiwan EV Alliance, Taiwan Food Processing Machinery, Taiwan Green Products, Taiwan Healthcare, Taiwan Tourism, Taiwan Excellence and Taiwan Smart City. The exhibit areas include agriculture & food, EV, Auto parts & Fasteners, Home Products, ICT & Green Products, Mandarin education & business services, Medical Devices, Health & personal care, Sports & Outdoor and Textiles.

Participating companies from Taiwan will be showcasing Taiwan?s latest technologies, eco-friendly products and industrial prowess.

There will be 130 exhibitors and 230 booths at the expo, displaying the best of the products for the Indian market.

Talking about the Taiwan Expo 2018, Mr. Walter M. S. Yeh, President & CEO of TAITRA, shares, ?This is a very important event that will help to strengthen business ties between both the countries. The diverse offerings of Taiwan in the fields like healthcare, food processing, and agriculture will be on display for the visitors. To encourage the Taiwan Expo 2018, Mumbai Indian team members will also be visiting the Expo in Pragati Maidan.

TAITRA is also conducting various marketing campaigns to promote the maiden Taiwan Expo in India, which includes outdoor hoardings, social media campaigns, advertisements and other marketing tools to attract people for the expo.

With nearly 90 Taiwanese companies working in different sectors of the Indian economy, the trade between the two sides has increased from US$1.2 billion in 2000 to $6 billion in 2016.

Taiwan Expo is being organized in India at a very conducive time as there are many companies in both the countries, which are keen to tie-up with each other for economic benefits.

At present India and Taiwan have an annual bilateral trade, which currently stands at $3 billion per annum.

Considering the close economic ties between the two countries, it is expected that the annual trade will grow manifold in near future.

The First ?Taiwan Expo in India? will also uphold the ?5 Flagship Programs? and 3 Prospective Areas? of the government's ?New Southbound Policy-A Practical Approach Moving Full Steam Ahead?.

There will also be seminars on the topics of Taiwan Smart Industry Trend, Smart Medical Innovation - Total Solution for Healthcare, India-Taiwan EV Forum and many other interesting topics.

The time of the fair is 17th to 18th May 2018 (10.00 hrs to 18.00 hrs) and 19th May 2018 (10.00 hrs to 14.00 hrs). Entry is free for all. Visitors can also make their registration before by visit the Taiwan Expo site.
