Medical statistics revealed the increasing number of overweight cats and dogs in consistency over the past 6 years as related to unregulated diet and poor choice of pet food.

According to Colin Campbell, founder of [Wyldlife Pets](, the lack of education and awareness campaigns in relation to this topic can be blamed for the surge of obese pets. Pet owners choice of pet food should also be taken to account. Fur parents should do their homework and research about the products they choose for their pets. Always read the labels and know what goes in that dog treat, said Campbell.

He also promotes the support for natural dog treats as an alternative to ensure safety at all cost for pets. Natural dog treats contain ingredients rich in vitamins and anti-oxidants, which promotes boost in metabolism and overall wellness.
