Rising Income Stimulates Indian Coffee Chain Market

The coffee Chain industry is all set to ride on the growing incomes of individuals. With more income, the consumer can spend more on goods and services which would eventually affect their choices at the time of purchase.

The consumer mindset has also changed in the past couple of years, Indian consumers have been successful in creating balance between saving and consumption pattern. Rising standard of living and shift in the consumer behavior has resulted in spending more on dinning out, rather than usual home meal. Thus, spending of US$ 2 to US$ 5 on a cup of coffee along with some food is not a big deterrent for today's Indian consumer.

In Cafés, a standard price for a cup of coffee is around US$ 2-3, which is comparatively much higher than the unorganized player operating in the same market. Here, the consumers are not paying for beverage and meal; they are paying for the experience, services, presentation, ambiance, feeling, Instagram snaps, and the right to brag about it with Facebook check-ins. additionally, now today's Indian consumer can also afford to dine out with other people in big restaurant chains.
