Bullying is Not a Sport Essay Contest Winners

Quest Education Systems and Stop Walk Talk held an essay contest to encourage and challenge individuals to use their creativity in writing an essay on the dangers and positive solutions to bullying in schools. The winning individual will be the one that writes the most engaging and creative essay. One hundred eleven essays were submitted from schools throughout the United States.

Gurnee, Illinois, US, July 10, 2012 -- Quest Education Systems and Stop.Walk.Talk.Org held an essay contest to encourage and challenge individuals to use their creativity in writing an essay on the dangers and positive solutions to bullying in schools. The winning individual will be the one that writes the most engaging and creative essay. One hundred eleven essays were submitted from schools throughout the United States.

Quest Education Systems and Stop.Walk.Talk.Org are pleased to announce that our judges have selected the submission from Kayli Nartatez of Warren Township High School, Gurnee Illinois as the winner for the 2012 "Bullying is not a Sport" Essay contest. Kayli submitted an essay entitled "Silence", a fictitious account of a woman reliving the pain of watching her best friend being mocked and bullied to the point that she commits suicide. Kayli will receive a $250 scholarship. Her school will receive a one year subscription to Stop.Walk.Talk (http://stopwalktalk.org/) National Bully Reporting system and a $1000 gift certificate from Quest Education Systems (http://questeducationsystems.com/) for staff and faculty training.

Daniela Lotze from Camdenton, Missouri, who attends Camdenton High School, was selected as the second place winner for her essay entitled "the Secret Is Out". Daniela's essay examines the comparison between sports and bullying, identifying the factors that show bullying is not a competitive sport. Daniela will receive a $100 Scholarship.
