Behavioral Crossroads Extends Services to Include Multi-Level Care

Behavioral Crossroads is only the second privately funded ambulatory and outpatient detox facility available in New Jersey. They recently extended their services to include multi-faceted care options to better serve their clientele. The primary focus of this expansion is to include a variety of primary services to treat substance abuse.

Behavioral Crossroads opened their mental health partial hospitalization program in 2000. This option works well for clients who benefit from intensive outpatient care but do not require hospitalization. In late 2004, the company obtained the current ownership group and since then have experienced remarkable growth rates. The treatment programs now treat about 250 clients on a daily basis and have around 500 in their open client case census.

The mission of the program is to help individuals who are dealing with mental illness, substance abuse or both. They provide intensive treatment options to help individuals develop the necessary skills to be able to thrive in their own communities. Treatment programs assist clients in taking charge of their own lives without needing to rely on the mental health system to succeed.
