Matthew Arnold Launches the Last Playlist Crowd Funding Campaign On Kickstarter

Los Angeles gets to experience the struggle of a diverse community of musicians and artists very day and there has always been an interest regarding the root of the favorite songs that are often heard on radio or television. In a bid to unravel the opportunity for one to know more about the singers and songwriters who struggle to be heard, Matthew Arnold takes the initiative to launch a fundraising campaign for the film The Last Playlist - A Live Music Mockumentary. With the aim of revealing the struggle of the song writers, he has created ?The Legends of La La?, a semi-reality web series in which several artists like Elle King, Lissie, and Mason Reed was captured live during the performance of their original music, and they told their stories. Along with Matthew who is an award-winning filmmaker, writer, and photographer, both Phil Haus and Mason Reed have been in the team. While Phil is an actor, producer and entrepreneur from New York City, Mason Reed is a prolific songwriter and performer, and has toured nationally since 2009, playing over 250 shows and clocking over 60,000 road miles per year.

The story revolves around legendary music producer Nick Silver who has been used for the purpose of interviewing and interacting with the artists. In this process what comes out is the fascinating story of Nick who himself had a story to tell. . His decision of making a comeback after 20 years of pause ultimately led him to revive the ailing music industry.

They have already been able to have $2,056 of the pledged of $5,000 goal from the Kickstarter. What they need the funding for is the music licensing, distribution, post-production and marketing. They are confident about being able to release the independent film within six months with the ardent support of the backers.
