Bharat Mandhyan joins Jungle Camps India as Lodge Manager, to be based at Kanha Jungle Camp

September 2026: Jungle Camps India (JCI) has announced the appointment of Bharat Mandhyan as Lodge Manager at Kanha Jungle Camp. With three decades of experience in wildlife tourism, Bharat has worked across Kanha, Bandhavgarh and Pench, with a career spanning guest experiences, team management and the day-to-day functioning of wildlife properties.

Bharat started out as a naturalist, leading safaris, nature walks and birding excursions and interpreting the flora, fauna and behaviour of the forests for guests. He also conducted wildlife lectures and presentations and worked closely with forest authorities, drivers and guides on safari operations. Over the years, his responsibilities grew to include guest services, food and beverage, housekeeping, hiring and training teams, budgeting, inventory and marketing.

Bharat has also been involved in conservation and community initiatives, including socio-economic development programmes in the Bandhavgarh region in coordination with the Forest Department. His work there included census activities and the development of eco-development plans.

Fluent in Hindi and English, Bharat’s interests outside work include wildlife and nature, trekking, sports, reading and music.
