September 16, 2026 – International Workplace Group (IWG), the world’s leading platform for work with brands including Regus and Spaces, signed a record 728 new locations globally in the first half of 2026, taking its global network to more than 6,000 signed locations across more than 120 countries. India contributed 43 of these signings, making it the group’s third-largest growth market worldwide and its fastest-growing market in Asia. The business also delivered record revenues and EBITDA during the period.

IWG’s capital-light growth strategy is now powering the vast majority of its expansion, with 95% of these locations being delivered via managed partnership agreements. The model enables property owners and investors to generate higher returns from their buildings, while allowing IWG to grow its global network quickly and efficiently.

This rapid growth has been driven by a particularly strong number of H1 2026 signings in key markets, including 187 new signings in the USA, 62 in the United Kingdom, 43 in India, and 42 in China.

IWG is working with landlords and developers around the world to bring flexible work solutions closer to where people live and work, including in tier-2 and tier-3 cities in India, while creating new revenue opportunities for its partners. The vast majority of IWG’s new locations are in the suburbs, smaller commuter towns and cities.
In India, IWG now has a presence across 37 cities with 125 open centres under its Regus, Spaces, and HQ brands in metros as well as cities like Coimbatore, Mohali, Ludhiana, Surat, Jaipur and Indore. Every one of the country's signings came through a managed partnership with an Indian building owner, giving these partners a capital-light route to converting existing commercial assets into professionally operated workspace. IWG further has more than 200 new centres across India in the pipeline.
This growth mirrors wider momentum in India's office market. Flex operators displayed an accelerating momentum in H1 2026, with activity up by 14.2% and their share in the H1 leasing volumes at 41.7?ross India's top seven cities, the highest first-half figure on record for the segment, while GCC leasing activity grew 14.2% year-on-year over the same period, according to JLL Research (REIS).
The group is expanding its network deep into the heart of the communities where its solutions are needed. The opportunity for further growth remains significant, with an estimated 1.2 billion white collar workers globally and a total addressable market of more than $2 trillion.

Christian Schmitz, CEO of International Workplace Group, said: “We’ve had a fantastic first half, signing a record 728 new locations and growing the IWG platform to more than 6,000 locations worldwide. Every new location strengthens our network, gives our customers more choice and creates new opportunities for growth.”

“We’re growing everywhere, from some of the world’s biggest cities to towns and communities where hybrid working is opening up completely new opportunities. Our capital-light strategy allows us to grow quickly, while helping our partners generate more value from their buildings. There is a huge opportunity ahead of us and we’re excited to keep accelerating our growth.”
Harsh Lambah, Country Head, India, IWG, said: "India is now IWG’s third-largest growth market globally, reflecting how quickly the way businesses work is changing. Enterprises, GCCs and homegrown businesses are rethinking where their teams work and how much space they need, and flexible workspace is becoming an increasingly important part of that decision. We signed 43 new locations in the first half alone, all through managed partnerships with Indian property partners. This model allows us to expand quickly into cities such as Coimbatore, Ludhiana and Surat, without the capital requirements of a traditional expansion model. We see significant opportunity ahead, and we intend to be at the forefront of that growth.”
