ViceVersa Tools Launches Office 365 to HTML Converter for Email Archiving and Portability

New Delhi, India, September 15, 2026 — ViceVersa Tools, a developer of email conversion and migration utilities, has released a converter that exports Office 365 mailbox data into HTML format. The tool addresses a recurring gap for organizations that rely on Office 365 for daily communication but need copies of that mail that remain accessible after an account is closed, downgraded, or placed on legal hold.

Email retained only inside a hosted mailbox is tied to that platform. If a subscription lapses, a user is offboarded, or access is revoked for any reason, messages stored solely in Office 365 can become unreachable. Regulated industries, in particular, often need to preserve correspondence for a set retention period regardless of what happens to the account that originally held it. Converting messages to HTML removes that dependency, since HTML files can be opened directly in a browser without a Microsoft account, an internet connection, or any email client installed.

There are three steps in the workflow. In the application, a user logs into their Office 365 account, selects the export format as HTML and a destination folder, and the conversion is started. The tool operates on selected mailboxes or individual folders and it preserves the original formatting so exported messages are read the same way as they were in the inbox. The conversion is one-way, from Office 365 to HTML, and is intended for teams who want to produce readable local archives, not for moving mail between two live systems.
