Mumbai, 21 August 2026: Bengal Club, Shivaji Park, Mumbai, a 104-year-old institution dedicated to preserving Bengali heritage and serving the wider community, will organise Banga Sanskriti Utsav 2026 at Ravindra Natya Mandir, Prabhadevi, Mumbai, on Saturday, 22 August, and Sunday, 23 August 2026, from 5:00 p.m. onwards.
For more than a century, Bengal Club has nurtured social, cultural, philanthropic, sporting, and religious activities in Mumbai. Located nearly 2,000 kilometres from Bengal, the Club has remained a vibrant home for Bengali culture while strengthening bonds among communities across the city.
The two-day festival will showcase music, theatre, and other cultural performances by renowned artistes from Bengal and Mumbai, offering audiences an engaging celebration of Bengal's artistic traditions.
Day 1 - Saturday, 22 August 2026
The festival will open with performances by Bengal Club, Shivaji Park, followed by the Navi Mumbai Bengali Association.
The evening's programme will include:
“Teen Bhuboner Pare” Soumitra - A theatre presentation featuring Saheb Chatterjee, Shobhan Sundar Basu and Paulami Chatterjee, directed by Joy Dattagupta
A musical performance by Sourendro-Soumyojit, celebrity performers from Bengal
Tapas Maity of the Voice of Films Division, Mumbai, as host for the event
Day 2 - Sunday, 23 August 2026
The second evening will feature:
Shovan Ganguly, winner of Zee Bangla Sa Re Ga Ma Pa
“Pratham Partho” – A drama based on Budhadev Basu’s Pratham Partho
Raya Bhattacharya, Debshankar Halder, Koushik Sen, Arindam Sil, Anjana Basu
Nakash Aziz, celebrated Bollywood singer
Antara Mitra, acclaimed Bollywood singer
Through Banga Sanskriti Utsav, Bengal Club aims to celebrate the richness of Bengali culture, provide a prominent platform for artists and bring Mumbai's diverse audiences together through the performing arts.
