The opening keynote on October 28 will be delivered by Dr. Sally Temple, Co-founder and Scientific Director of the Neural Stem Cell Institute (NSCI) and Co-founder and Chief Scientific Officer of Luxa Biotechnology LLC. Widely regarded as one of the world’s leading experts in stem cell and neuroscience research, Temple has made major contributions to the advancement of regenerative medicine and previously served as President of the International Society for Stem Cell Research (ISSCR). She is also a member of the U.S. National Academy of Medicine, reflecting her global influence in biomedical science.

In her presentation, “Human Stem Cells: Transforming the Fight Against Nervous System Disease,” Temple will discuss how advances in human stem cell technology are reshaping the understanding and treatment of neurological disorders. On October 29, the second keynote session will feature Stuart Cable, Global Head of Mergers & Acquisitions and Vice Chair at Goodwin. Cable is recognized internationally for advising pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies on complex M&A transactions, corporate governance matters, and capital markets strategies. Throughout his career, he has played a key role in major global transactions, including Sanofi’s acquisition of Blueprint Medicines, Merck’s acquisition of SpringWorks Therapeutics, and AstraZeneca’s acquisition of Fusion Pharmaceuticals.

Cable’s keynote, “Current Trends in Biopharma M&A,” will provide an in-depth analysis of the forces shaping mergers and acquisitions across the global biotechnology and pharmaceutical industries.
