Indus Towers Supports Flash Flood-Affected Communities in Arunachal Pradesh

Arunachal Pradesh, 6th July, 2026: In response to the devastating flash floods and landslides that recently impacted several parts of Arunachal Pradesh, one of the world's largest telecom infrastructure companies, Indus Towers, has extended emergency relief support to affected families in Yachuli, Keyi Panyor, Arunachal Pradesh.

Under its flagship Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative, ‘Pragati’, the company is distributing 330 kits comprising hygiene supplies, clothing, sanitation essentials, medicines, and other critical necessities designed to address the immediate needs of affected families. Particular attention has been given to supporting women, children, the elderly, and those who have been displaced by the disaster.

Representatives from Indus Towers, and local administration officials - Shri. Toko Tatung - Hon’ble HMLA, Yachuli, Smti. Shweta Nagarkoti Mehta (IAS) - DC, Keyi Panyor Dist., Shri. Angad Mehta (IPS) - SP, Keyi Panyor Dist., Shri Tajing Padung (APCS) - SDO, Yachuli, Keyi Panyor, and Ms. Nabam Piju - Zila Parishad Chairperson, Yachuli, Keyi Panyor Dist, were present during the distribution efforts, helping ensure timely assistance reaches those most impacted by the natural disaster.

Speaking on the initiative, Shri Rajender Gurung, Circle CEO (NESA), Indus Towers Limited, said, "In moments of crisis, communities need more than relief, they need reassurance that they are not alone. The recent floods have disrupted lives, livelihoods, and the sense of security that families depend upon. At Indus Towers, we believe that our responsibility extends beyond enabling connectivity; it includes standing by communities when they need support the most. Through this intervention, we hope to provide immediate relief, restore a sense of dignity and comfort for affected families, and support them in taking the first steps towards recovery. The resilience of the people of Arunachal Pradesh is truly inspiring, and we remain committed to contributing meaningfully to their rebuilding journey."

This relief intervention is part of Indus Towers' broader commitment to strengthening community resilience through timely and meaningful action during emergencies. The company will continue to work closely with local authorities and stakeholders to support relief and recovery efforts in flood-affected regions.

The relief distribution was implemented on-ground through North East Affected Area Development Society (NEAID), Indus Towers' implementation partner for the initiative.
