xQ appoints Pawan Kumar Vadlamani as Co-Founder & VP of Global Sales

Mumbai, 29th July 2022: Ed-tech start-up xQ has appointed Pawan Kumar Vadlamani as Co-Founder and Vice President of the company?s global sales segment. With a rich experience in market expansion, brand building, category creation, handling multi-cultural cross-functional teams, sales value, and sustainable growth strategies, Mr. Vadlamani has joined to help expand xQ across the country and globally.

Owing to his solid work experience, Mr. Vadlamani has a sound understanding of both Indian and international markets. He has worked with Asian Paints for 14 years in roles of sales, marketing, and international operations. He is an alumnus of IIM Kozhikode.

Simon Jacob, CEO, and Co-Founder at xQ said, ?We?re ecstatic to have Pawan on board as his vast experience will help xQ realize our vision of becoming India?s most disrupting ed-tech company that teaches children video creation skills. He will be responsible for expanding xQ?s video labs and its services in India and abroad. He shall contribute to expedite our mission to make video creation accessible to all children while developing a strong network with schools all over India.?

xQ works to teach children the art and science of video creation. The IIM alumni-founded start-up has educated over 6000 students across eight countries in video-making. The ed-tech firm aims to make video creation accessible to at least one million children by 2025. They?ve received seed funding of USD 1.4 million from a Gujarat-based angel syndicate, which includes professionals from companies like Google, Axis Capital, Deloitte, Shell, and Tata 1mg.

Upon his appointment, Mr. Vadlamani said, ?I?m looking forward to leading the operations for an innovative organization like xQ. Our offering is unique and bridges a gap in the market that was earlier missing. Video is the most attractive medium for learning and communicating, especially with kids of this era. We hope to build something inspiring for the children to create upon.?
