Puerto Rican Independence Party (PIP) holds a Diaspora PIP (DPIP) Constitutional Assembly

The Puerto Rican Independence Party (PIP) and its New York City Committee (PIP?NY) will be holding a Diaspora PIP (DPIP) Constitutional Assembly for its members and supporters in the diaspora, this Thursday May 13th, 2021 at 6 pm. In the meeting it will be formalized the creation of two sister committees in Florida (PIP?FL) and Michigan (PIP?MI). The DPIP will be a coordinating affiliate to the PIP and part of the PIP?s program #PatriaNueva (new homeland).

In its aims to advance a growing consciousness on the issues that burden Puerto Rico under its current colonial relationship with the US, and to support the party?s insular endeavors, these new committees will work to further education efforts on Puerto Rico?s future decolonization among Puerto Ricans ?stateside? while building allyship among US citizens and political movements akin to its progressive and emancipatory causes.

Moreover, the assembly will elect its delegates representing these new committees and other PIP groups in the US and around the world.

To these ends, our special guest speaker, Juan Dalmau Ramirez, the PIP?s secretary general and former candidate to the Puerto Rican governorship during the 2020 elections, will be presiding over the assembly and addressing its new constituents around the world about the state of decolonization efforts and the future of its growing movement.

Partido Independentista Puertorrique?o (PIP) realiza una hist?rica Asamblea Constituyente de la Di?spora PIP (DPIP) para formalizar la creaci?n de nuevos comit?s en los Estados Unidos y en todo el mundo.

El Partido Independentista Puertorrique?o (PIP) y su Comit? de la Ciudad de Nueva York (PIP?NY) celebrar?n una Asamblea Constituyente de la Di?spora PIP (DPIP) para sus miembros y simpatizantes en la di?spora, este jueves 13 de mayo de 2021 a las 6 pm.

En el encuentro se formalizar? la creaci?n de dos comit?s hermanos en Florida (PIP?FL) y Michigan (PIP?MI). El D?PIP habr? de ser un afiliado coordinador del partido y parte del programa del PIP #PatriaNueva .

En sus objetivos de propiciar una mayor conciencia sobre los problemas que agobian a Puerto Rico bajo su actual relaci?n colonial con los EE. UU y apoyar los esfuerzos nacionales del partido, estos nuevos comit?s trabajar?n para promover esfuerzos de educaci?n sobre la futura descolonizaci?n de Puerto Rico entre los puertorrique?os en el exterior, mientras construye alianzas entre los ciudadanos estadounidenses y los movimientos pol?ticos afines a sus causas progresistas y emancipadoras.

Adem?s, la asamblea elegir? a sus delegados en representaci?n de esos nuevos comit?s y otros grupos del PIP en los Estados Unidos y en todo el mundo.

Con esos fines, nuestro orador invitado especial, Juan Dalmau Ram?rez, Secretario General del PIP y ex candidato a la gobernaci?n de Puerto Rico en 2020, presidir? la asamblea y se dirigir? a sus nuevos constituyentes alrededor del mundo sobre el estado de la lucha por la descolonizaci?n y el futuro de su creciente movimiento.
