Brock Duke spent his entire childhood in Yukon Oklahoma, ultimately graduating from Yukon High School. His parents still reside there to this day. He graduated from Oklahoma State University obtaining a bachelor?s degree in Agricultural Economics in 1998 and a master?s degree in Agricultural Economics in 2000. In 2003 he graduated from the University of Oklahoma School of Law.

In 2003 Mr. Duke moved to the Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex area in to work as a criminal prosecutor. During this time, he personally conducted over two hundred (200) trials and handled thousands of criminal cases. This afforded him the opportunity to work with and learn from some of the nation?s best criminal prosecutors. In addition to being outstanding trial lawyer, many of Mr. Duke?s mentors/colleagues wrote trial skills books for prosecutors. The environment afforded Mr. Duke the unique opportunity to attend multiple trial skills seminars and schools, many of which are available only to criminal prosecutors. These include but are not limited to the Texas Homicide Symposium, TDCAA Trial Skills Seminar, TDCAA Advanced Trial Skills Seminar, and countless hours of trial technique educational courses.

When asked about his trial experience, Mr. Duke answered, ?It would be reckless to measure any trial attorney?s competency based on the number of schools or seminars they attended. To get a fair and realistic measurement of an attorney?s courtroom capabilities, skill, and competency let the attorney spend many years and thousands of hours inside of courtrooms conducting trials in front of judges and juries. Afterwards, look at their results. That will tell you exactly what they are capable of.?

In January 2010 Duke made the decision to stop trying to put people in jail and start protecting people?s rights and the falsely accused. He opened the Law Office of Brock Duke which would eventually grow into the law firm of Sylvan & Duke. As a criminal defense lawyer Brock Duke experienced tremendous success. He had numerous trials covered by local and national news media outlets. These included CNN, ESPN, CBS, NBC, ABC, and Fox, as well as being featured on the television shows, Dateline and
A&E?s ?The First 48.?

In 2016, Duke decided to expand his practice from Texas into Louisiana and start helping people and families who are victims of needless injuries. Since this time, Mr. Duke has handled hundreds of cases and recovered millions of dollars for families in need.

In 2020, Duke was approached by John Alberts, a life-long family friend and founder/CEO of both Bedlam and Bison Law in Yukon, Oklahoma, to gauge his interest in bringing his skills back home to Oklahoma.
Alberts explained his vision for The Bison Law Firm, which would be unique. The focus would be on people and community, instead of mass clientele and money. Bison Law Firm would seek to be a part of the community through volunteer work, sponsorship, and various other philanthropic endeavors. Mr. Duke, realized that Law Firms who make community interests just as important as their own, are extremely rare. So, Brock promptly agreed to come on board. Now a partner in the Bison Law Firm, Brock Duke is excited to be back home.

?Having an attorney with trial experience of this magnitude is not something that can be easily matched by other firms. Having Brock will make all the difference when the Bison Law Firm is handling complex cases.? John Alberts stated. ?We are excited to see the impact he will make, not only within the firm, but in Oklahoma.? The Bison Law Firm will focus on cases involving: Catastrophic Injury; Wrongful Death; Semi-truck collisions; Car wrecks; motorcycle crashes; oil field accidents; slip/trip and fall events, and other incidents involving serious personal injury. Bison Law Firm will seek justice for those injured. Their objective is to be a safe haven for clients and a business the entire community can rely on.
