Meerut, March 1, 2021: With Westernization trending up among the Indian youth, poor lifestyle is attributing to an increase in the number of liver ailments. As per the recent data provided by Globacan India 2018, Liver cancer was ranked 12th among the most frequent cancer in India, accounting for around 30000 cases of new cases of liver cancer recorded.

?Early detection is the key to reversing liver fibrosis as it can restrict or remove causative factors such as limiting alcohol consumption and reduction of weight. What was alarming today was that we saw a lot of patients in the younger age bracket. In India, the age for alcoholic liver disease is coming down and it mostly occurs between the ages of 30 and 40 as the average age when people start drinking has come down to 16 so that could be a probable reason for this trend. However, people need to be cautious that if they feel that they may be engaging in any such lifestyle-related habits that could be damaging to their liver, they must get themselves checked regularly.? Dr. Chaudhary informed further.
