The Infinity School Takes A Step Towards Environment Conservation & Awareness.

The year 2019 witnessed many schools missing on classroom days due to the severe pollution levels in Delhi NCR. Following the 'pollution holidays', The Infinity School, a CBSE curriculum school in Greater Noida West, took a new initiative to spread awareness about creating a happy, clean, and lively environment for everyone.
On National pollution control day, The Infinity School engaged parents and other stakeholders of the school to plant a tree online under the tree plantation drive launched by Sankalp Taru, a Delhi-based NGO. The school students also undertook unique pledges (such as gifting plants as return gifts on birthdays, using leftover water from the bottles for watering plants, segregating waste items, etc.) on the occasion of world energy conservation day (14th December) in an attempt to save energy for the benefit of self and nation.
Pre-primary grades visited the school garden and field in the environmental science class where they learned about seasonal plants, soil conditions, climate & other factors that affect the growth of plants. Teachers showed them how to use a magnifying glass to observe microflora & fauna in its natural habitat.
On November 29th, the school arranged for a short trip to Fun Zoo toy factory, where the learners witnessed the art of toymaking at the toy factory, interacted with the local craftsmen there and learned about their waste management techniques. Little ones from grades Pre-nursery to 1 applied the knowledge gained by segregating and dumping wet waste and dry waste in different colored bins placed outside their classrooms. It was an enlightening experience for little ones who vowed to care for their toys better, knowing how much effort toymakers put into creating toys for them.
