Little learners have such a wide curiosity about the world in general that you may have caught yourself wishing you understood more about the science of earthquake or engineering or molecular science yourself, just to explain things to them with ease. The advent of video and computer games, emerging world of internet, most kids below 12 years still love growing with bricks. LEGO has over the years been one of the most played games and with the use of technology we are here to add an all new fun to it. SMAAASH Edutainment has come up with an amazing concept of LEGO + STEAM activities that will introduce children to the experiential world of learning- focusing towards the holistic (360 degree) development of a child.
STEAM is defined as S- Science, T- Technology, E- Engineering, A- Arts (Design Thinking), M- Mathematics. It is an educational approach to learning that uses Science, Technology, Engineering, the Arts and Mathematics as access points for guiding SMART thinking. STEAM is an individualistic perception and a multi - disciplinary approach towards education. Robotics becomes a tool/ learning aid to recognize and understand different knowledge points. Apart from the regular subject pointers; ‘A’ refers to creativity & innovation, not restricted to Fine Arts but can also be extended to designing solutions.
STEAM is designed to integrate STEM subjects into various relevant education disciplines. These programs aim to teach students innovation, to think critically and use engineering or technology in imaginative designs or creative approaches to real-world problems while building on students' mathematics and science base. STEAM programs add art to STEM curriculum by drawing on design principles and encouraging creative solutions.
The Robotic STEAM Curriculum and Magic of Science Experiments by SMAAASH Edutainment: “The Robotic STEAM Edutainment Curriculum” at SMAAASH, combines the STEM elements with regular hardware knowledge and develops familiarity with Block programming software. The ‘A -Art’ element is focused towards the Art of Achieving STEM. It enables the learners to understand ‘The Science behind SMAAASH Games’. “The Magic of Science”, experiments unfolds the mystery of Kitchen Chemistry.
SMAAASH has continually raised the stakes on giving a vivid encounter to individuals who love sports and wish to have a ton of fun past the worry of day by day lives. In Mumbai city we have brought an amazing concept of LEGO & STEAM activities that will introduce children to the experiential world of learning- focusing towards the holistic (360 degree) development of a child. SMAAASH is trying to show them, for example, that there are many ways of solving the same problem. These fun LEGO STEAM activities give children hands-on practice with science, technology, engineering, and maths, skills they will rely on for years to come.
Each classroom module is constructed to empower learners to understand basics of robotics that includes construction mechanism and giving them life using programming based on various sensors.
