Gupp Chup Gapp, a Comedy/Drama, will be staged at Sri Ram Centre for Performing Arts, New Delhi at 7:00 pm on the 24th October 2019.

Performed by the nine IAS Officers? wives, the play renders an entertaining canvas for burning issues of gender equality and sexual abuse prevalent in society.

Gupp Chup Gapp, an SBOX by SAKSHI production, is being organised as a fundraiser for The Rakshin Project to prevent Child Sexual Abuse.

In the words of Smita Bharti, the award-winning Writer and Director of the performance ?The subtext of the daily trivia juxtaposes serious with absurd, and sublime with mundane to reflect the need for self-reliance and community engagement in order to overcome the impact of sexual violence; however many years it takes.?

Gupp Chup Gapp is a story of four sisters with different temperaments, dreams and ideologies, forced to live under one roof for a year if they want to benefit from their dead mother?s property and wealth. As diehard beliefs hilariously collide with age old habits, they enter a war zone where neither of them will pay for the day to day expenses of the house. As a result, they hit upon the idea of bringing in a tenant in the house. The outside force enters their lives like a whirlwind, blowing away cobwebs of manipulative habits, patterns, beliefs, ideologies, nurtured over a lifetime; bringing out their vulnerabilities, forcing them to be honest and open.
