The fifth edition of ?Long Night of LiteratureS? is all set to mesmerize the Literature lovers of the capital on Friday evening, 27th September, 2019 at Instituto Cervantes in New Delhi. On the occasion of the European Day of Languages, authors from Austria, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Portugal, Spain, Switzerland, and Turkey will be participating in the current edition. Featuring a diverse mix of writers from different European countries, the upcoming literary gathering promises to be a lively affair for literary enthusiasts.
The format of the event encourages the audience to listen to a number of authors through the course of the evening. Each author reads to rotating audience groups of 12-15 people in their native languages, after which the audience has the opportunity to interact with the author in English to discuss their work and literature on a broader scope. The group then moves on to the next room to listen to another author. This concept allows the audience to have close interactions with the authors.

We take this as an opportunity to present many European Literatures during one evening and from a common platform,? tells Ignacio Vit?rica Hamilton from the Spanish Embassy and Instituto Cervantes, which serves as the venue for Long Night LiteratureS in New Delhi.
