If you analyze your daily interactions with other people and with the environment, you?ll find tons of Excuses. Did you quit using plastic yet? Why not? I?m sure you?ll find a valid excuse.

It?s time to break the pattern. You want our world to be a better place. The wish is there. You just need to take some action, and big things will happen.

What action? That?s the easy part. With minimal changes in the way you behave, you?ll contribute to a better world.

1. Respect Other People?s Emotions and Integrity

When you get into a discussion with someone, are you focused on proving your point or understanding the other person?s point? You?re just human. Of course, you want attention to your point, so the discussions often turn into heated arguments.

Personal integrity is closely related to the feeling of self-respect. When someone doesn?t respect your intellect, emotions and dignity, they deeply affect your self-respect. You don?t like when other people are insensitive towards you. Why do it to someone else?

2. Be Honest

Have you lied about being busy because you didn?t want to see someone who needed you? Do you always check your writing for plagiarism before submitting a project or maybe you use help of on time essay writing service? Do you get a bit too inspired and paraphrase when writing college papers?

I know; you thought we were talking about changing the world. What does a lie have to do with that? A lot!

Everything starts with your relationship with the ones close to you. Your partner, family, friends and colleagues. If you strive towards truth in those connections, the circle will expand.

3. Donate Things You Don?t Need

It?s time for fall cleaning!

I bet you?ll find many pairs of shoes, clothes, books, and all kinds of stuff you don?t even use. Give it away! Most people will advise you to sell those things online. But if you don?t need the extra money, you can make the day special for other people.

You don?t need many clothes and you?ll still look good. You don?t need a crowded home. Clean up and be generous with the stuff you don?t need.

4. Get More Generous

After the fire in the Notre Dame cathedral in Paris, three families donated over $500 million for its recovery. This was rather scandalous. This ridiculous amount is less than 1% of the total fortune these families own.

So why don?t they end world hunger?

You?d say that everyone can spend their money however they want. But if we want to see a better world tomorrow, we have to make a pledge.

Donate to at least one cause per month. You can do that. Your donations won?t be extreme, unless you?re a billionaire. Even modest contributions matter when more people make them!

5. Meet Your Neighbors

Your neighbors give you headaches? They are too loud? Why don?t you just meet them? You want to eliminate negative feelings. So, if the neighbors cause them, you can make a difference by understanding them. Even if they don?t bother you, you shouldn?t ignore them.

Why not befriend them? One lovely neighborhood after another, and we?ll be looking at a better planet in no time.

6. Brighten a Stranger?s Day

Smile. Say hello! Talk to a homeless person and pet their dog. If you see a child crying, ask how you can help. If you see a grumpy waiter, say a kind word and wish him a good day.

Be nice to other people. You don?t have to know them. Everyone carries their own weight. A simple smile won?t change much, but it will be a good moment in a hard day. That means a lot!

7. Spend Money Only When You Need To

We came down to the hardest thing to do: spending less. Should we even start talking about consumerism and how bad it is to our planet? Waste, waste, and more waste.

When you start living a humbler life, you?ll have fewer worries. All the stuff you buy carries a maintenance responsibility. Spend your money wisely. You?ll save more for traveling, but you?ll also be able to help others.

Baby Steps Can Take Us Far

If this seemed like too much, don?t worry. You don?t need to change in a day. Take one small step after another. If you convince others to commit to the same goal, you?ll make baby steps together. That?s how we start, and that?s how we?ll get far.
