Eco Rent A Car MD Rajesh Loomba inducted into the WAF Global Hall of Fame at the India Shared Mobility Summit

New Delhi | 19th Sep 2019 | The best and the brightest minds from Auto Industry and Shared Mobility segment gathered at India Shared Mobility Summit organized by World Auto Forum, an organization that connects the entire Auto Industry across 125 countries. The event was held this week at Holiday Inn, Aerocity, New Delhi.

Policymakers, Top fleet operators, Auto CXOs and Tech experts shared the stage to deliver exceptional keynotes and thought-provoking panel discussions on a range of issues – from driver welfare to challenges inherent in Shared Mobility, from what it takes to create a great shared mobility story to the Shared Mobility future ahead of us.

Four leading names from the Shared Mobility segment were inducted into WAF Global Hall of Fame for their immense contribution and success in this domain. They are Anil Srivastava, Principal Advisor, Niti Aayog, Rajesh Loomba, MD & CEO, Eco Rent a car, Rajiv Vij, MD & CEO, CarzOnRent India and Sandeep Gambhir, MD & CEO, Orix Auto Infrastructure Services.

And there were contests galore around lovely Volkswagen and Tata Cars on display at ISMS. Delegates took time visiting the cars and answering questions around these cars. Shared knowledge, we heard some saying!

Rajesh Loomba, MD & CEO, Eco Rent-a-car, also a Hall of Fame inductee, spoke about his journey from his father’s single ambassador car to becoming the biggest car rental company in India. He said, “With changes in the attitude of the new generation, it is imperative that automotive companies look beyond just selling cars. Today’s consumer is savvy, both from quality and vale perspective. And companies that realize and cater to this need for balance will be the ones that will thrive.”
