IIM Udaipur Revises Program Names: PGPX to MBA, FPM to Ph.D.

With the declaration of Indian Institute of Management Act, 2017, which provides all IIMs the authority to grant degrees to their students, IIM Udaipur has appropriately revised program names from PGPX (Post Graduate Diploma Program in Management for Executives) to MBA and FPM (Fellow Program in Management) to Ph.D. Graduates of both programs will receive degrees. Before the Act, IIMs were not awarding degrees in MBA or any other field. IIMs can now grant degrees, doctoral, diplomas and other academic distinctions or titles and award fellowships, honorary awards and other distinctions to its students.

IIM Udaipur?s PGPX program (Supply Chain Management) is a full-time residential MBA in Global Supply Chain Management (GSCM), now with two options wherein one option offers dual degrees - MBA from IIMU and MS from Purdue University - and the second option offers MBA from IIMU with two weeks of international experience. This unique program is designed for experienced professionals aiming at developing the potential of future leaders intending to work in top-level roles in large corporates. IIM Udaipur is currently inviting applications for the GSCM program The batch will commence from 3rd April 2020. IIMU continues to be a thought-leader in the field of management research in India. Its Ph.D. program is designed for students with strong academic credentials who aspire to undertake demanding original research. Students earning a Ph.D. in management from IIM Udaipur will be well-equipped for a career in academia as well as research or consulting positions in industry or the NGO sector. It has a duration of 4.5 to 5 years. Students first complete rigorous coursework covering advanced courses in the area of specialization as well as a review of general management subjects. During this time, students gain experience and mastery in a range of research skills, approaches, and methodologies.

IIM Udaipur is currently offering Ph.D. in areas including Marketing, Operations Management, Finance & Accounting, and Organizational Behavior & Human Resources Management.
