700 years old tradition of Maharashtra, Pandharichi Vari started on 24th June 2019. An annual pilgrimage or say Yatra of Dnyaneshwar Maharaj and Sant Tukaram Maharaj?s Palkhi takes start from Alandi and ends at Pandharpur is popular as Pandharpur Vari, or just Wari.

The holy function and walking journey of over 250 km take around 21 to 25 days with various religious functions in the way. Devotees come from various districts of the state at the native places of Sant Tukaram & Sant Dnyaneshvar in Pune district and reach their final destination at Pandharpur. They all are seen chanting ?Jai Jai Ram Krishna Hari? which literally drives away the fatigue.

Every year, businesses, charitable trusts and notable people around the state take a humongous part in this holy celebration by donating useful things like food, water, clothes and footwear to these devotees.
This year, Anirban Sarkar from Pune provided these devotees with fresh purified water and refreshing snacks as a part of his offering to this holy event.

Anirban Sarkar is an Indian entrepreneur and businessman Chairman & Director of Deccan Water Treatment Pvt. Ltd. Anirban is also the President of India - Arab Chamber of Commerce and Agriculture.

?I believe that it?s my responsibility to be a part of this age-old tradition in Maharashtra. People around me have given me so much throughout my entire life. Even though I belong to the Bengali family, Marathi culture has a strong impact on my mind as I have completed my alma-mater here in Pune.? mentioned Mr. Sarkar.

All the members of DWTPL family were actively taking part in the Wari and distributed water and food to the devotees and pilgrims with all the devotion.
