The LEAD Program of the Deshpande Foundation conducted its annual flagship conference, the8th Yuva Summit, a Youth Development Conference in Hubli on February 3 and 4, 2018. The key note speakeratthe YUVA Summitwas Manasi KirloskarExecutive Director & CEO ? Kirloskar Systems Limited, wherein she shared her life experience, challenges faced and how she overcame it with the large community of students attending the meet.

She further emphasized on the fact that one has to identify their passion and purpose towards defining their career and life path. Giving her own example she spoke about how her inclination towards art made her pursue her degree in arts from Rhode Island School of Design. How at a young age when she faced difficulty in understanding a certain subject at school made her realize that the ?One fit for all? module has to be changed and hence she started her own non profit venture - ?Caring with Colour? ? which aims to revolutionize India?s education sector by changing the one size fits all schooling system, through embracing contextually relevant and activity driven learning paradigms.

Manasi Kirloskar also expressed that how apart from the core education her passion and liking for Painting, Scuba Diving, Hiking/Mountaineering and business added values like Taking Risks, Out of the box thinking, innovation, Continuous learning, Self discovery, humility and leadership.
She closed her speech quoting that all our efforts for self and social development should lead to one objective of ?Making the World a Better Place?.

Post her address Manasi Kirloskar Inaugurated the projects exhibition and interacted with the students who presented over 30+ projects at the venue.

The event brought together over 1,000 college youth from across 5 states and encourages leadership, innovation and entrepreneurship through awards, project exhibitions, and panel sessions. Participants get to hear from and network with a national and international group of mentors, faculty, young entrepreneurs, students, innovators and LEAD alumni.

8th YUVA Summit, a youth development conference witnessed:
Assembly of large number of academicians, entrepreneurs, Faculties, delegates and enthusiastic youth at the International Conference focused on instilling leadership, innovation and entrepreneurship among youth. On this occasion, over 30 innovative Leadership Projects were showcased by young college students within a vast scape, cutting across the sectors of health, education, agriculture, livelihoods, technology and more.50+ colleges from Karnataka, Maharashtra, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh and Tamil Nadu participatedto share the success stories of young Leaders and notable speakers. .

The Sandbox Approach: The sandbox gives limited authorization for fintech startups to test new products and models with a small number of actual users in a simulated environment. This gives them more time to build and test business ideas, instead of spending time navigating complex financial services regulations. Focusing on regulatory compliance eats up seed capital before anyone knows whether an idea could work and be scaled up. Participants are nonetheless required to follow rules on marketing, privacy, anti-money laundering, disclosure, and management of conflicts of interest.
