The Indian government has pledged to ban all single use plastics across the country, a move which has been warmly appreciated by both the United Nations and Grassroot Groups. Maharashtra is the first state in the country which has decided to ban plastic bags, water bottles and other disposable plastic items, setting an example for other states to care for environment.
Although highly laudable initiative by the Government, the ban on plastic can be construed either boon or bane for various industries as the plastic usage has been common practice. The Agarwal Packers and Movers Ltd. has always championed the idea of greener business model innovation. In endeavor to find substitute for plastic usage, Agarwal packers and movers ltd., a logistics company has come up with idea of usage of Fabric sheets in packaging.
“Fabric sheet” is not only environment friendly, but it also offers cost advantage and time efficiency in packaging compared with Plastic. For example, for packaging an Almirah with plastic the company had to spent Rs. 580 and took 12 minutes, which has now come down to Rs. 480 and 6 minutes with the use of Fabric sheet. Apart from cost and time effective, the fabric sheet is also more durable, shock-absorbent, and water-resistant.
Similarly the Agarwal packers and movers ltd. has introduced the usage of “Jute ropes” in packaging solutions. Caring for the safe transportation of goods has always been the priority of Agarwal Packers and Movers Ltd., and to meet this objective this organization is pioneer in bringing innovative packaging solutions which protects the goods even on the harshest terrain during transit, provides cost saving to consumer, and which resonates with caring for environment.
Ultimately this environmental friendly mindset has helped Agarwal Packers and Movers Ltd. logistics to discard 250 tons annual usage of plastics completely in favor of more environmental friendly packaging solutions.
