Qla organizes a Jazz Evening with “Pronto” an international Jazz band from France

On Friday evening, 17th February, a jazz concert took over the stage under the Delhi NCR sky at Qla in Mehrauli.

Christophe Marguet & Daniel Erdmann Quartet Pronto! The concert of the day! The quartet was initiated by Marguet and saxophonist Daniel Erdmann. H?l?ne Labarri?re holds the bass. Bruno Angelini is at the piano.

The jazz concert was hosted by Ranjan Chopra who is the managing director and CEO of the popular European dining restaurant Qla located in Mehrauli, Delhi.

The gathering was attended by more than 200 Jazz lovers across Delhi NCR. The audience consisted of artists, social activists, and celebrities.

Sharing his views on the Jazz event, Mr. Ranjan Chopra says the music by the quartet has the originality of the subject that is anchored in resolutely modern jazz where rhythm and melody make a marriage of love. I wanted to host this event for the last 2 years at Qla as it is an icon of modernity and style, offering fine dining with European cuisine. The cuisine with French, Italian, and Spanish influences, intricate preparations, warm interiors, and wood decor create an unforgettable experience of a European Bistro.

On stage, the quartet was dynamic. The rhythm was massive, Labarri?re in particular constituted a sturdy pillar that left no one at rest. Always so brilliant, the drums offered a leaping carpet to the engagements of the soloists - in this game, Erdmann and Angelini compete. The themes, carrying and immediate, come to conclude the improvisations and trigger the applause of the public.

The setup at the event concentrated on enhancing the existing beauty of Qla and hence saw a lot of ambiance lighting. The selection of the backdrop for the main stage was done keeping the rustic trees behind and Qutub Minar's view in mind with intelligent lights to keep a warm backdrop. Accompanied by a handpicked wine list and exquisite food pairings, the evening was the best way to experience both music and European cuisine.

The French quartet will perform again in Goa at a beautiful luxury resort Avataara Resorts & Spa located in Anjuna on 22nd February '23.
