Still, despite the hurdles posed by 2020, the numbers show the RV parks industry was resilient and is poised for continued growth into 2021.

?According to a report released by National Association of RV Parks and Campgrounds, RV park industry anticipates 53,000 new campsites in 2021.?

The study sampled 516 outdoor hospitality owners and operators from across the states on expansion trends and plans, COVID-19 pandemic effects, guest demographics, amenities, and accommodations and rates.

The overall effects of the COVID-19 pandemic were wide-ranging, as some respondents reporting increased in seasonal occupancy and some respondents reports a decrease in seasonal occupancy as compared to the previous year.

Among those respondents whose main season occupancy increased in 2020, 70% attributed the increase to the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic and those whose occupancy decreased, 99% also attributed the decrease to the effects of the Covid-19 pandemic.

This trend shows that although the RV parks and campground industry showed a great deal of resiliency dealing with the covid-19 pandemic but it wasn?t the same across the board. As the New Year starts there is a plenty of hope for a huge bounce back year in 2021.
