SmartTOP roof control for BMW 3 Series convertibles enables top operation via One-Touch

Las Vegas, Nevada - January 10, 2019: SmartTOP rooftop modules by the company, Mods4cars, simplify everyday convertible life with clever comfort and functional enhancements. The retrofit SmartTOP allows owners of BMW 3 Series Cabriolets E46 and E93 rooftop control while driving with just one touch of a button. Thanks to One-Touch, the convertible top opens and closes automatically after a brief tap on the interior button. The impractical continuous pressing down of the button is thereby omitted.

In addition, the product from Mods4cars, also enables the possibility to open and close the convertible top from afar via the vehicles original remote control. "SmartTOP customers can open their convertibles top as they are approaching their vehicle," explains PR spokesman Sven Tornow. The vehicle key does not require any changes or programming for this function.

In addition to these two main functions, SmartTOP modules also have individual additional functions: For example, the windows of the BMW 3 Series models can be opened and closed via the remote control. Position of the windows after the tops movement can be programmed to personal preferences. When engaging the reverse gear, the passenger mirror can be set to automatically be folded.

The module allows for complete deactivation as required. Starting and stopping the engine, does not interrupt the current top movement. Furthermore, a standard USB port is integrated in the module. This allows for the configuration on the home PC and the installation of software updates. These updates are made available to customers free of charge.

The SmartTOP convertible top control is retrofitted into the vehicle. For quick and easy installation, the cabriolet module comes with a specially developed plug-and-play cable set. The connection between the vehicles electronics and SmartTOP module is made by simply plugging together. Cable sets in original equipment quality guarantee a 100% accurate fit. Cutting through of cables is not required.

The comfort upgrade is available for BMW 3 series convertibles E46 and E93 from 269.00 Euro + tax.

SmartTOP roof modules are available for BMW models 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, Z4 and Mini. The following vehicle brands are also supported: Alfa, Audi, Bentley, BMW, Chevrolet, Ferrari, Ford, Infiniti, Jaguar, Lamborghini, Land Rover, Maserati, Mazda, McLaren, Mercedes-Benz, Mini, Nissan, Opel, Peugeot, Porsche, Renault, Volkswagen and Volvo.
