Amritsar is at the pinnacle of growth where recently Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley launches ‘National Heritage City Development and Augmentation Yojana’ (HRIDAY) for 12 cities in the nation. The government of India has sanctioned 69.31 crore as 100% grant for Amritsar.
While addressing the large public function held at Amritsar, Arun Jaitely not only lauded the Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) head honcho Parkash Singh Badal but connoted their political alliance as a social alliance that aim to strengthen the bonds of peace, harmony, brotherhood and unity in the state.
Jaitley said, “Punjab would soon emerge as a role model for the other states in the country to have the best four six-laned road network despite a smaller state as compared to other ones where one could safely reach from one end to another just within shortest time period.”
The holy city of Amritsar is entering a golden era of development while having key projects in lead as IIM and the Horticulture institute. Bikram Singh Majithia, the Non Conventional Energy Minister seeks the pride to extend his gratitude towards Arun Jaitley on behalf of entire fraternity of Punjab.
The establishment of Indian Institute of Management and the Horticulture Institute would go long way to change the fortunes of youth and farmers of Punjab.
He even requested to grant the extension of the freight corridor to Amritsar so as to uplift the trade with Pakistan from the international border at Wagah. More trade with Pakistan through Wagah border would open new industrial avenues for people of Punjab.
Kudos to Sardar Bikram Singh Majithia and his team for his untiring efforts for the development of holy city of Amritsar which has now become the first city where the National Heritage City Development and Augmentation Yojana (HRIDAY) has been launched in the nation.
It appears that Punjab is ushering in a new-age of development. Long live the alliance!
