Their most recent act of generosity at Christmas time was to donate one of their sons to a charity organization. Tyler Waters, one of the five sons of Ken and Paulette Waters, proprietors of Waters Moving and Storage was donated to Toys for Tots, to provide an extra pair of hands over the Christmas season.
Paulette Waters says, Toys for Tots is an amazing organization and we wanted to help. So we donated our son and one of our Waters Moving trucks to pick up toys for the Toys for Tots program in the Northern California Bay area this Christmas.
Over the years of their operation in Martinez California, Waters Moving and Storage have made frequent contributions to charity and the community. They have opened up their storage and distribution premises to various non-profit organizations.
The company premises have been used by the Food Bank of Contra Costa and Solano, sponsored boxes for Tescos food drive, financed many youth teams and provided storage space to historical societies in the area. Every year it is Waters Moving and Storage who transport the sets for A Christmas Carol from the theatres storage to the Lesher Centre for Arts and back.
Three of the Waters five sons have served in the armed forces. The couple has demonstrated their patriotism by contributing boxes to the Marine Corps food drive and by organizing the September 11 dedication monument and flag at the Martinez Amtrak station. They have also replaced many of the flags in the Contra Costa locality.
