Interstate Plastics is happy to announce the addition of Worbla to its product lineup, a popular material among hobbyist groups including cosplayers (the practice of dressing up as a character from a movie, book, or video game), model makers, DIYers, sculptors, and other artists. The non-toxic thermoplastic can be heated with a hair dryer or other hot air tool and becomes formable at 175F to 195F. The material retains the shape it was formed to as it cools, and can even be reused if not painted.
Worbla products can be cut with regular scissors, drawn on with pen or marker, sanded, glued with glues for plastics as well as hot glue, and painted with anything from acrylics to spray paint. A heat gun is our most suggested method for heating Worbla products. To cut relief designs a hot knife can be used (with proper ventilation). Worbla has no shelf life and holds its shape even when complex curves and shapes are part of the design. It has also seen use in minor hope repair and prototyping applications.
Interstate Plastics offers Worbla in [both black](https://www.interstateplastics.com/Worbla-Hand-formable-Black-Thermoplastic-Sheet-ABSBEW~SH.php) and [beige colors](https://www.interstateplastics.com/Worbla-Hand-formable-Beige-Thermoplastic-Sheet-ABSNEW~SH.php) with a standard thickness of 0.039.
