Houston Real Estate Professional Kiesha Curtis Receives Community Leader Award at Taylor Morrison’s 2018 Leaders in Real Estate Summit in Atlanta

ATLANTA ? Houston real estate professional Kiesha Curtis was recognized with a Community Leader Award for her contributions to the real estate community and her commitment to Houston residents during Hurricane Harvey last year during Taylor Morrison?s 2018 Leaders in Real Estate Summit in Atlanta this month.

Curtis was one of three professionals receiving honors during the three-day summit, which gathered some of the country?s top-performing real estate agents together for roundtable discussions, a presentation by industry veteran Jeff Meyers of Meyers Research and a keynote address from Taylor Morrison Chairman and CEO Sheryl Palmer.

Curtis of Realty Kings Properties in Houston was recognized with the Community Leader Award for her tireless work in the Houston area including helping Hurricane Harvey victims register with FEMA in 2017, assisting with Avenue Community Development Corporation and FEMA, volunteering at WorkFaith Connection, teaching homebuying classes with Avenue Community Development Corporation and being elected to the Brazoria County Municipal Utility District 21 board.

?Kiesha is an example of the terrific partnerships Taylor Morrison has with its local real estate communities,? said Graham Hughes, chief customer officer for Taylor Morrison. ?The summit gave all of us a chance to reconnect with one another and learn of more about what the future holds for our industry.?

Along with Curtis, Phoenix real estate professional Steve Rider was recognized for his work in the Phoenix market with The Rider Elite Team and for mentoring a group of national licensees that teaches how to successfully market, sell and develop new leads. His team has sold more than 4,000 new homes in the past year for a sales volume of $1.2 billion. Kelly Fenton of Keller Williams Realty in St. Petersburg, Florida was recognized with the Rookie Award for being the top-producing agent in her company last year.

Attendees were selected based on both sales and nomination criteria. In each Taylor Morrison division, the agent/broker who sold the most homes in the first five months of 2018 was chosen for the summit along with three special honorees who were nominated by their peers.
