In a recent change of events, Mr Manoj Gaur (M.D. of Gaursons) has been replaced by Pankaj Bajaj Eldeco as the President of CREDAI – NCR. Mr Pankaj Bajaj will be holding the chair until the year 2019.
CREDAI (The Confederation of Real Estate Developers’ Association of India) is the vertex form of private real estate builders. It is represented by Eleven Thousand Nine Hundred and forty (11940) members over around 23 State level Chapters and 177 City level Chapters across all over India. It’s a non-profit organization which looks out to provide an amicable policy to guarantee housing for all. It’s the major knowledge forum for real estate industry information. It keeps an update about all the advancements and progress taking place in the industry. Today it’s the preferred benchmark for a national discourse on housing and habitat. It’s a shared body of the government and private real estate developers.
It would seem like that the newly elected President, Mr Pankaj Bajaj believes that the real estate industry in India is on a revival. He said that projects for affordable housing would be the major focus in NCR in the years to come. He is also in accordance with the passing of RERA (Real Estate and Regulation Act). Mr Bajaj is of the opinion that after a basic settles down of things produced due to some teething issues in RERA, it will turn out for the benefit of real estate market both for the developers and the buyers in the country. He said that the real estate industry would benefit the Indian economy up to 15% (GDP) in place of the current 7%.
He was reported quoting:
“We will work in tandem with CREDAI National to bring its manifesto to fruition including Skill Development Program, CSR Foundation, Clean City Movement, Educational Scholarship Fund, Heritage initiatives etc.”
The future of housing in NCR does look promising for the upcoming years.
