KritiKal Solutions at IIT Industry Day to Reinforce Academia-Industry Collaboration

KritiKal Solutions, a technology design house, recently participated in the first-ever Industry Day of IIT Delhi held on 23rd Sep. Themed on breaking down silos to fuel academic-industry collaborations, the first edition of ?Industry Day? was a successful event for KritiKal Solutions. Marked the presence of more than 250 delegates from multiple industries, and a great number of academicians, researchers, visionaries, this promising platform introduced by one of the premier institutions in India?Indian Institute of Technology Delhi (IITD), discussed the prime issues concerning the tryst between industry and academia based on current societal requirements in Defence, Environment, Affordable Healthcare, Smart Cities, and Energy verticals.
Commenced with a plenary session by IITD Director Prof. V. Ramgopal Rao in the lecture hall complex, the event took rhythm with parallel thematic sessions based on Defence, Environment, Affordable Healthcare, Smart Cities, and Energy industry verticals. Amongst the esteemed dignitaries & speakers including Kumar Mangalam Birla, Chairman ? BOG, Manpreet Singh, Director ? KPMG, Dr. V K Saraswat, Member - NITI Aayog, Dr Maharaj Kishan Bhan, Former Secretary - DBT, GOI, Dipakshi Mehandru, Policy Advocacy and Government Affairs, DELL, Dr. Sanjay Singh, CEO, Gennova Pharmaceuticals, Mr. Dipinder Sekhon, CEO of KritiKal Solutions delivered a keynote speech on Smart cameras and IoT innovations for Smart Cities by talking about the key capabilities of KritiKal in the areas of computer vision, embedded systems and IoT. Addressing the audience, the CEO showed Advanced Driver Assistance System videos like Tail Light Detection, Surround View, and Vehicle Detection and emphasized on connected IoT solutions like smart parking system, smart helmet, smart shower, smart lighting system, that palpably support the growth of smart cities.
KritiKal Solutions also took part in the exhibition and showcased its smorgasbord of innovative products & solutions in front of the research fellows, visionaries, and elite industry professionals to amplify its relationship with ever-emerging research ecosystem of IITD, comprising 500 Ph.D. students, over 500 faculty members, 2000 research publications and more than 100 patents filed each year.
Expressing thoughts on exhibiting at IIT Industry Day, Mr. Siddharth Chandra, Sr. Sales & Marketing Manager, KritiKal Solutions, said that ?We explored multiple avenues of possible fusion & synergy with industry delegates pertaining to research & consultancy. Adding to this, ?he believed that by bridging the expectation with academic training would be helpful to build effective solutions that definitely address emerging industry problems.?
