Grammy-nominated, Multi-Platinum Singer to Take Clayton Stage this Valentine?s Day. Miki Howard?s ?Love Under New Management? to Bring Soulful Vocals to Clayton Center

CLAYTON, N.C. ? This Valentine?s day, locals will be able to celebrate love while enjoying the soulful vocals of two award-winning R&B artists. Sinclair Entertainment will present ?Love Under New Management,? starring Miki Howard and Howard Hewett, on Feb. 14 at 8 p.m. at the Clayton Center (111 E. 2nd Street in Clayton). Together, these popular R&B artists will provide a romantic and soulful soundtrack for those celebrating Valentine?s Day.

Miki Howard is a Grammy nominated, multi-platinum, award-winning recording artist and actress. A native of Chicago, she found success as a solo artist with two number-one hit songs on the R&B charts, including ?Ain't Nuthin' in the World? in 1988 followed by ?Ain?t Nobody Like You? in 1992. In 2002, Howard was nominated for a Grammy award for her album ?Three Wishes,? followed by a Lifetime Achievement Award presented by The Chicago Music Awards in 2012. Beyond her love and success as a recording artist, Howard appeared in various films, including ?Malcom X? (1992), ?Poetic Justice? (1993), and her lifetime biopic, ?Love Under New Management: The Miki Howard Story? (2016).

Howard Hewett, Jr. is a singer and songwriter. A native of Akron, Ohio, Hewett started out as lead singer of the R&B vocal group Shalamar before breaking out with a solo career, releasing two top-ten R&B soul singles, ?I Commit to Love? and ?I?m for Real? in the 1980s. After finding success as a recording artist, Hewett continued his singing career, including contributing to the second season theme song for the successful sitcom, ?Hanging with Mr. Cooper.? Hewett later released two follow-up albums, including a self-titled album, ?Howard Hewett,? and two gospel albums, ?The Journey? and the follow-up, ?The Journey Live: From the Heart,? which all found success in their perspective mainstream genres.

?Love Under New Management is a fun-filled show you won?t want to miss,? said Michael Sinclair of Sinclair Entertainment. ?Come out for a great night of entertainment with two R&B greats for an affordable price.?

The cost of admission includes a delicious holiday buffet by Chef Vaughn Williams, owner of Urbana Catering Service.
