Marcia Moore Design Wins Three Awards

Marcia Moore Design is pleased to announce they have recently won three awards from the American Society of Interior Designers. The ASID Design Excellence Awards are given annually to recognize the most outstanding work performed by area interior designers.

Marcia Moore Design won first place for a whole house renovation titled Coastal Home. The owners of this home wanted an overall beach theme, which proved to be a shopping challenge, especially during the winter months in a landlocked state. However, Marcia Moore Design was able to create a tropical feel with art, furnishings and accessories, giving a family who couldn?t move to Florida the illusion of living on the coast.

In the category of bedroom design, Marcia Moore Design won first place for her project titled Art Deco Meets Hollywood Glam. With just a bed and dresser, the homeowners wanted a master bedroom makeover. Marcia Moore Design used stenciled grass wallpaper and paired it with complementary furnishings to make the ideal place to relax. The company used a variety of textures to create a unique room the couple loved.

Finally, Marcia Moore Design won second place in kitchen design with her project, Cat?s Meow. The original kitchen featured a kitchen and dining area separated by a half wall, creating a cramped space that made cooking and serving difficult. Marcia Moore Design transformed the kitchen with a monochromatic theme and created a more open space that gave the homeowner better flow and use of the space.
