Global Action Week for Education

Global Action Week for Education reminds the need for quality education during early childhood and puts forward a fact that still more than 67 million children have no access to school. During the week, schools will work various educational proposals and participate in various activities to spread the message of this initiative. The events are planned in the framework of the Global Campaign for Education, which aims to mobilize the citizenry to defend the universal education and the fulfillment of the commitments made in this area. Other events planned during the week will be developed, among other places, in Cantabria, where on April 26 about 400 students will gather in the Plaza Pombo de Santander to participate in an activity called "The Rainbow", in Valencia, where you will find a playful act and protest in the Carmelite College, with several schools, and then the students delivered a manifesto in Les Corts, in Galicia, that claim the right to education. In addition, the official campaign website lists the dates and venues which will host the main events of each territory.

Global Campaign for Education

The "Global Campaign for Education" is an international coalition of NGOs, trade unions, the educational environment, schools and social movements of very diverse nature. They describe their own drivers.

Its aim is the mobilization of the citizenry. It is estimated that people are its greatest asset and, therefore, we use them to work together to demand their governments and the international community to "keep their promises and take responsibility for the fate of millions of people who are excludes the right to education".

As per the statement many more distance education universities and other programs at the primary and secondary level for school students have been launched by the same authority. The main claim under full compliance with the agreements of the Dakar Summit suggests that the international community committed to ensuring access to quality education for everyone by 2015. His concern is clear that "We are approaching this year, so we must continue acting."

The same event also pupils from different schools and universities that offer wide range of distance education courses that will present their views on what education means to them as a right child, its importance in combating poverty and the relationship between education, health and nutrition.
