University of Michigan India Business Conference (UMIBC) is an annual gathering of members of the University of Michigan India Alumni Association (UMIAA) and guest dignitaries. This year's conference is scheduled for August 11, 2012 at The Leela, Mumbai with the theme “Harnessing the Transformation” and will explore the opportunities and challenges associated with transformation taking place in India.
The conference enables thought leaders to engage with alumni, professors, students and university administration to find answers to the big challenges facing India and the world. In recent years, involvement of Mr. Adi Godrej, Mr. Arun Shourie, Mr. Montek Singh Ahluwalia, Mr. Narayana Murthy, Mr. Gopalakrishnan of Tata, and the late Professor C.K. Prahalad have shaped the conference and inspired the growing class of business leaders.
The theme of this year’s conference is to understand the broad underlying factors and force behind the changes taking place today, and attempt to develop a road-map on How to Harness the Transformation in India in the key areas of:
