This council serves as an important tool for attorneys and clients. The goal of the council is to help expedite the legal system when problems and disputes arise during a case. Devin Ferree Thomas was selected for this position due to his superb skills in mediation in hundreds of workers' compensation cases throughout his career. He has seen cases at the Court of Appeals and the Supreme Court. He will bring a strong work ethic, a great deal of experience, and a variety of helpful ideas to the council.

The Dispute Resolution Council feels it is important to assist lawyers in North Carolina who are interested in running or starting pro bono programs and services in their communities. The ability for the council to provide support to these attorneys will be greatly improved with the addition of Devin Ferree Thomas to its group. Thomas hopes that his work at the council will help everyone, especially those in workers' compensation cases.

Devin Ferree Thomas is an attorney who has practiced law for over ten years. He lives in Oak Ridge, North Carolina with his wife and five children. He received bachelor's degrees in English and History from UNC Chapel Hill in 1991 and his law degree from Wake Forest University School of Law in 1996. He currently works at Oxner, Thomas, and Permar, PLLC and specializes in workers' compensation law.
