Autonomic Resources, an IT and service integration firm serving the U.S. federal government, continues to expand its arsenal of open source technologies available to federal agencies with the addition of a leading data warehousing solution under the GSA schedule.
Autonomic announced today it is adding Continuent, the leading provider of data availability and database cluster management solutions, to its GSA schedule.
In addition, Autonomic has signed an agreement with EnterpriseDB, the Enterprise PostgreSQL Company, to provide professional services related to the integration of PostgreSQL in the federal marketplace.
As a GSA contract holder for these and other solutions, Autonomic meets pre-qualified technical and pricing requirements, making the procurement process fast, flexible, and cost-effective for federal government agencies. Autonomic works closely with organizations to centrally manage and deliver customized and integrated open source applications across the enterprise, and provides consulting services that help increase the quality, consistency, and efficiency of a range of open source software, including Continuent and EnterpriseDB solutions. Both solutions are targeted for delivery through ARC-P, Autonomic’s cloud platform for federal customers seeking to benefit from these technologies.
“Continuent prides itself on helping data-driven organizations do business more efficiently and cost-effectively by offering an enterprise-class solution with an open source base,” said Robert Hodges, CTO at Continuent. “Autonomic Resources’ experience in the federal government space and expertise with open source solutions makes them the ideal partner for helping us expand our solutions into this critical IT sector.”
“More and more federal agencies are recognizing the benefits – both from a cost and efficiency perspective – of deploying open source technologies,” said Mike Wood, federal channel manager at EnterpriseDB. “We are thrilled to partner with Autonomic on the delivery of professional services for our technology stack.”
“Autonomic recognizes the importance of making the world’s leading open source technologies readily available to federal government agencies,” said John Keese, Autonomic Resources’ president. “We understand that our customers are looking for multiple delivery methods for the technology solutions in meeting their needs. Whether that is through the traditional sales model of the software only, or with the delivery of integration services coupled with the software. Also increasingly important is the ability to deliver that solution from within our family of cloud computing offerings.”
On October 21, Continuent, EnterpriseDB and Autonomic will offer the first in a series of webinars to discuss the benefits of using open source data warehousing technologies in federal agencies.
