Calgary resident Shawna Kaminski might not have made an identity for herself as a school teacher. But this profession of hers has got a lot to do with the great honor that she had received very recently. Presented with the Achievement and Excellence Award, she was recognized by the state to be one of the top 1% fitness professionals. Every year, less than 1% of boot camp owners receive this honor. But she is one of the few lucky ones to bag it. The award is based on clients’ results and feedback, quality of service and the impact it leaves on the community. Thus this is not just everybody’s cup of tea.
Essentially, a personal training Calgary
professional must be able to showcase his / her qualifications. In case of Shawna Kaminski, this particular honor, spoke volumes of her dedication towards fitness. On receiving the award, she said that even though she had been training individuals for the past twenty years, since it was her passion and calling, it is always nice to get recognized by the fitness industry. She also said that the award is ‘just a reminder’ to deliver ‘service and value’ to her clients.
Her unique story reveals that she has been a teacher with the Roman Catholic School board for the past two decades. Even then she managed to find time for her clients. It was from the urging of a group of her friends, that she opened a small personal training studio in 2004. from there she took a giant leap to full time training. She said that she took a leave of absence from her teaching career, as she knew in her heart that she was on the right path. Since then she never had to look back. The rest as they say is history.
